golden water also know as urine, is/was used by the alchemists to create a alkahest or stone, by doing some research and wanting to know the composition of urine, i found the flowing things
Mstate elements are not included in this.
Water 95%
Urea 9.3g/l 60.055g/mol = 0.155mol/L
Chloride 1.87g/l 35.453g/mol = 0.053mol/L
sodium 1.17g/l 22.989g/mol = 0.051mol/L
potassium 0.75g/l 39.038g/mol= 0.019mol/L
urea: 60.055g/mol
carbon 12.010g/mol 1x
oxygen 15.999g/mol 1x
Nitrogen 14.006g/mol 2x
Hydrogen 1.007g/mol 4x
some reactions will form,
most of the sodium and Potassium are bonded to the Chloride to form KCl and NaCl.
if the urine is fermented it will decompose the urea into ammonia carbon dioxide and water
this will form a amount of ammonium bicarbonate and ammonia hydroxide,
the ammonia bicarbonate reacts with the NaCl to form ammonium chloride and sodium bicarbonate. so after fermentation there are some other chemicals inside the urine then before it was fermented,
ammonium hydroxide
ammonium chloride
ammonium bicarbonate
sodium bicarbonate
potassium chloride
now looking at this from a alchemical stand point we can give them the following properties.
water --- spirit
ammonium hydroxide --- Volatile spirit
ammonium chloride --- Volatile salt
ammonium bicarbonate --- Hidden Volatile salt
sodium bicarbonate --- Fixed Body
potassium chloride --- fixed Body
true distillation of the fermented urine on could separate these chemicals in the following way.
in the receiver one would get;
ammonium hydroxide
water
ammonium bicarbonate *** (if the receiver is very cold)
this would leave,
sodium bicarbonate
potassium chloride
ammonium chloride
after dry calcining the residue a sublimate will form
this is the ammonium chloride
the sodium bicarbonate is decomposed into sodium carbonate and water.
if heated more the potassium chloride will react with the sodium carbonate and will form chlorine gas and potassium oxide
bought Potassium oxide (will hydrolyse to a hydroxide) and sodium carbonate are water soluble
the following image is very helpful
as we know we can separate these chemicals in 2 category's Fixed and Volatile.
and then again 2 category's of fixed and volatility.
if u take 4 fractions of this and distill it you will have
earth; KOH, NaCO3 (NH4)Cl
water; H2O, (NH4)Cl
air; (NH4)HCO3, (NH4)OH,
fire; (NH4)HCO3, (NH4)OH
as u can see in this image,
we will have the sulfur inside the air and fire fraction,
the mercury will be in the water and air fraction,
and the salt in the earth and water fraction,
